Join me in this project-based art class where we combine art techniques and art history with the creative problem-solving required of an engineer. Engaging the skills of observation, critical thinking, collaboration, reflection and correction, we will create 2 and 3 dimensional art that will awe and excite. We will look for inspiration from the Masters and contemporary artists, and from the junk drawer in every kitchen, where everyday objects can be re-purposed into something extraordinary. Materials used will range from paper and glue to wood and wire, and even gingerbread! Electronics/robotics will not be part of this class. Our goal is to push ourselves to think differently, explore what is possible, and make it work!
