Class Description: In this introduction to the natural sciences, we will investigate a variety of topics through outdoor exploration, hands-on learning activities, experiments, games, stories, and art projects. Each week's class will focus on a different natural science theme including: living and non-living things; animal groups and life cycles; animal tracks an homes; adaptations like camouflage, migration and hibernation; how plants and trees grow and how to identify them; earth science topics like geology, paleontology, seasonal changes and the water cycle; chemistry experiments like color changing liquids, fizzy potions, and slimes, and much more! We will almost always go outdoors for a portion of every class, rain or shine.
